PCM-CMM Course

We are pleased to inform you that in conjunction with the PCM-CMM 2019 Congress (4th Polish Congress of Mechanics and 23rd International Conference on Computer Methods in Mechanics) the Polish Association for Computational Mechanics (PACM) is organising a one-day preconference course Discontinuous Petrov-Galerkin (DPG) Method with Optimal Test Functions which will be held on 8 September 2019 in Cracow.

The course will be lectured by Prof. Leszek Demkowicz from the University of Texas at Austin. The lectures will be delivered in English and will take place in the premises of Cracow University of Technology at Warszawska 24, Cracow.

The course is organised under auspices of the European Community on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences (ECCOMAS) as an ECCOMAS Advanced Course.

PhD students as well as all researchers interested in acquiring fundamental knowledge on Discontinuous Petrov-Galerkin (DPG) Method, a novel discretization method introduced quite recently, are encouraged to take part in the course.

Participation in the course requires a separate fee and registration. Registrations can be performed online through the Course webpage: https://dpg.jordan.pl/en. A detailed information on the course is also available there.

We kindly ask you to share this information with your colleagues and collaborators who might be interested in participation in the course.
